Discover how sound therapy can help you recover your natural balance!

Sound has been used by ancient cultures all over the world for healing and transformation. More recently, Western science has provided evidence of the power of sound to transform matter, including our physical bodies. The science of cymatics has shown that a sound near the human body creates changes in the organism and its electromagnetic fields. As a result of these studies, the interest in sound healing has grown considerably in modern times.

Everything is in a state of vibration, and this applies to every part of the human body as well. When your body vibration becomes imbalanced, it can result in illness, because it’s not vibrating at a healthy frequency anymore.

By projecting correct frequencies on the body, it is possible to return to an optimum vibration. Everyone is unique, and the vibratory rates are different from one person to another, plus, they can also change over time, so it is not possible to use the same healing frequencies for everybody.

The critical factor is intention, which should be used in combination with sound to create a healing effect.

So when the practitioner directs the sound with the intent of balancing a particular area, healing might occur. This principle was first formulated by the renowned American sound healer Jonathan Goldman (sound + intention = healing).

Sound therapy is a non-invasive complementary medicine that uses sound to treat physical, emotional and mental health challenges. Sound therapy uses the voice and several instruments such as Tibetan singing bowls, tuning forks and gongs, to produce frequencies that will trigger relaxation.

As stress generates most illnesses, any therapy that helps reduce stress and promote relaxation will be very effective in preventing and treating illness.

Every school has their unique approach to sound therapy. For example, the British Academy for Sound Therapy also uses reflective techniques that help the person to gain deep insight and make life changes.

The Sound Healing Academy focuses on the achievement of relaxation by using different sounds to reduce stress. Others, like the Harmonic Sounds International School (where I got my training) gives great importance to energy control and balancing of chakras and subtle bodies.

Recently I came across another type of sound therapy called Bio-Resonance Therapy. The voice is one of the most powerful tools for human expression, and it produces a waveform pattern that contains excellent information about the physical and emotional health of the speaker. The Bio-Resonance Therapy analyses voice frequencies that have been recorded to identify frequencies recognised in stress.

Then low-frequency waveforms are generated and delivered through headphones to produce changes in the body. It seems that they activate vitamins, minerals and other nutrients, and might be able to detoxify frequencies that correspond to dangerous substances.

The research done in this area showed that most people are deficient in specific tones as shown in the human voice recordings.

By achieving the balance of sound frequencies, we can keep our bodies in a healthy state.

There is much more I could write about this fascinating topic, but I don’t want to overload you with information.
