My story

I was born in Spain, my birth name is Belén, and I grew up in a big industrial city in the outskirts of Madrid. Nature was always my great love even if I was not close to it and this led me to study Biology at the university. During my study years I became involved in environmental activism and volunteered with many conservation projects. After completing my studies, I spent several years between volunteering & travelling abroad and working as environmental educator in Spain. At the same time I embarked on an inner journey from my early twenties and tried several therapies and spiritual paths. Having experienced trauma as a child, which affected my health and wellbeing considerably, I was looking for solutions to my problems.

I moved to the UK in 2012 and then decided to study a MSc in Ecotourism at a Scottish university. While doing my thesis in Costa Rica, I was inspired to create an eco-travel business. I worked on my business for a while until I decided to change careers sometime after moving to Bristol in 2016. I closed down my travel company although for a while I did some work as travel consultant. In Bristol I created a flute circle and started to give basic workshops. The Native American flute has been an amazing journey for me and I have been playing it for about 12 years.

Soon I was invited to play at sound baths, yoga classes and events. Finally I decided to train as sound therapist at the Harmonic Sounds school with Michele Averard and Nestor Kornblum, who are the cofounders and directors of the International Association of Sound Therapy (IAST). I also trained in Feminine Sound Healing with Rocio Martin and Roman Garcia, a technique designed for women. I have explored the work with the voice in various courses and workshops, and I do overtone singing, soul singing and shamanic chanting. I am also passionate about dancing and movement.

I learned a lot during my self-healing path in many different topics such as herbal medicine, conscious nutrition and body & energy practices. I also believe in the healing power of connecting with nature and this lead me to co-create a group in Bristol that offers activities to connect with nature in a mindful and conscious way. I attended workshops of Natural Academy about Nature-based Practice and Primrose Haven about Sound Healing and Nature. Later I joined the official school of Ecopsychology in Spain and I about to finish my “Ecotuner” training. At this moment I am about to start a new training in Holistic Coaching.

In the past 3 years I have lived between the UK and Spain, and I travel extensively around the world. My offerings include 1 to 1 sound therapy sessions, group sound journeys and Native American flute lessons.  I also co-create holistic events with others, including retreats in nature. Finally, I have a collaborative project called Earth Sound Medicine that combines medicine music, shamanism, movement and ceremony.

I am passionate about helping people to connect with their self-healing potential using nature connection, sound healing, conscious movement and holistic coaching. I hope to continue on my path and serve others in the best possible way.
